Spot clean whenever possible. Absorb wet pills immediately with a damp cloth. Vacuum regularly without a beater bar. Hand-wash in cold water without soap to maintain the integrity of the fibers and keep colors vibrant. If your rug bleeds a little bit of color during this process, keep washing and rinsing it until the water runs clear. Lay flat to dry. Do not bleach.
